On July 7th of 2004 the first "God Knows" program started it's weekly broadcast in Russian. It reaches a potential audience of 35.2 million people. With the professional help of CNL, a Russian "Intro" for the program was created. The English audio was transcribed and sent to Kazakhstan. At CNL it was translated and "dubbed" into Russian. This time consuming process is done weekly.

The programs are broadcast on the satelite HOT BIRD™. It's footprint represents one of the largest potential audiences in the world, more than 35.2 million satellite and cable homes, the vast majority of them via the five HOT BIRD™ satellites at 13° E.

CNL extends its broadcasting zone

Maxim Maximov will begin broadcasting CNL from a THIRD SATELLITE, confirming a well-known fact that CNL is the largest Christian Russian-speaking television channel. Many “well-wishers” predicted the end of CNL when a fire burned down our building. In March 2005, the building was destroyed by fire but we continue to stand and develop: new satellites, internet streaming, regular live broadcasts from different countries of the world, numerous conferences and the influence of God’s light and power is evident in all this. This is just a little part of our ministry. We are approaching the completion of construction on the new CNL studios.

The next step now is to begin broadcasting on the “Yamal201” Satellite! This means that everyone, including those who received the gift of a dish for watching programs from the satellite “Express-6A” and those who purchased a satellite dish, will be able to watch CNL. This channel broadcasts 24 hours a day with a variety of Christian programs, sermons and cartoons.
