Dear Intercessors,
As the 2008 elections approach and economic uncertainties abound, the Lord is calling His people to be proactive and tactical in their intercession.
In response to the call of the Lord, I am issuing two days of focused prayer, the first being A Day of Prayer for the World’s Economies, taking place October 29, 2008.
A Day of Prayer for the World’s Economies is centered around strategic prayer for the markets, banks and financial institutions of the world. As you know, October 29th marks the day that the stock market of the United States crashed in 1929, birthing a grave economic depression.
The Lord has been speaking to intercessors and prophets since the beginning of 2008 that a collapse with similar repercussions was upon us, unless His people stood up against the shaking and stabilized the economy through prayer. The overall world economies are rooted in iniquitous systems and rebuilding our economies to reflect biblical standards and guidelines continues to be an elaborate process. That is why the Lord is calling us to stabilize our current economy through pointed intercession until a biblical economic structure can be built in its place.

For the second day of prayer, occurring November 2, the Lord spoke to me that “there will be no more business as usual!” I am appealing to pastors and church leaders to turn your church services into prayer services on November 2nd and contend for the nations of earth and specifically focus on the upcoming U.S. elections.
At this point in history, God is moving in the earth and I believe that nations are standing on the cusp of their civilizations and the paths that they choose from this day forward will determine their course for generations to come. Respected leaders in the Body of Christ believe that this is such a serious time upon us that there could even be food shortages. We need to pray for our nations!

We need to be fervent and effective in our prayers. That is why the Lord has shown me not just what to pray but how to pray. “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”
