Mike Jacobs Commissioned to Lead MHOP
On the night of the May MHOP meeting, Mike Jacobs was working late at the office. To his surprise, a couple showed up at the GI offices looking for the MHOP meeting, as they did not notice that the meetings were held at a new location. They were local business owners, and to Mike Jacobs, this seemed like a divine appointment, as they were able to spend time sharing with one another about one of their greatest passions: marketplace ministry.
Mike felt led of the Lord to take the couple out to dinner at a local restaurant, and called for Cindy to meet them there. The two couples enjoyed a meal together and then Cindy prophesied--not only to the couple, but to Mike as well! Cindy prophesied that Mike would teach and train marketplace leaders to pave the way for the coming reformation. Mike is anointed to lead business leaders in the ways of the Lord, and that nigh, he was literally commissioned of God to lead the Marketplace House of Prayer (MHOP) branch of GI's training and equipping ministry.
Truly, this has been a long-awaited appointment and is a perfect fit! Mike Jacobs is the Co-Founder and CEO of Generals International. Mike worked as a business analyst and comptroller within the airline industry for many years. Currently, Mike owns a real estate investment company and a wellness business. He is also a private pilot with single and multi-engine ratings.
Mike Jacobs also travels around the world, ministering alongside his wife, Cindy. He has been commissioned by God to bring unity and order to the body of Christ. A key focus of Mike's vision is teaching on Christ's transforming power in the business world, governmental structures, the church, and the community at large.
Mike brings to our MHOP meetings a depth of wisdom, prophetic revelation and practical knowledge for marketplace ministry. We strongly believe that his insightful and skillful leadership will help thrust MHOP to the next level! Please join us for our next MHOP meeting, led by Mike Jacobs.

Strategic Planning in Turbulent Times
This month's MHOP meeting speaker is our very own, Mike Jacobs, who will share on how to strategically plan for success in your business in the midst of turbulent times. Mike recommends that you reference his teaching from our last Out of the Box 3 Prophetic Marketplace Conference (OTB3). What Mike will share at our MHOP meeting will build upon the foundation laid through his in-depth teaching at OTB3. As a courtesy to our MHOP audience, we have provided a free downloadable file of Mike's teaching notes from OTB3.

How to Establish an MHOP in Your Business
Cune and Michele Pena, owners of Premier Fitness, a successful chain of health and fitness centers, were our featured speakers at last month's MHOP meeting. Through the prophetic ministry of this anointed couple, we had an incredible time of impartation for establishing marketplace houses of prayer.
Cune and Michelle shared numerous stories of God's power to save, heal and deliver actively at work in their business. They talked about the importance of being bold enough to make the most of daily opportunities to share God's goodness with others, as well as being bold enough to not compromise Godly standards in the way in which we operate our businesses. Cune and Michelle have taken a lot of heat and criticism for some of the things they have done, including their decision to end their popular yoga program because they felt it's roots were contradictory to their faith. Even their new television advertisement is more about their faith than about physical fitness. Their exemplary business practices and position in the marketplace have influenced many people to pursue a deeper relationship with the Lord.

How MHOP is Impacting Marketplace Leaders
"May 2008 MHOP Testimony:
"Wow, what a good meeting it was! I was so glad to be there to hear the panel of speakers. But one, for me, really stood out--Allen speaking on integrity in the work place, and carrying that over into life in general. Allen shared about such real-life, everyday things that go on. For example, when Allen moved from one state to another, he assumed he would get the same position he had with the company he worked for at this new location--but he did not. As he inquired of the Lord, God brought to mind the following: "Allen, you took things from the company that are not yours". In obedience to the Lord, Allen boxed up things like pens, pencils, paperclips, etc.--things that we think is no big deal to take because our company has lots of them--but this is stealing--it's a matter of integrity. Allen took all of the company's belongings and handed them to a supervisor in the new location in which he was now working, and asked this new supervisor to return the stolen items, informing the supervisor of what he had done. After hearing Allen on what God showed Him, I now have a very different mindset on this matter. Just because "everyone else does it" doesn't make it okay.
Allan also shared about a camera he offered for sale at a specific price. A coworker called to say she wanted it, and would come by later that afternoon to pick it up. No big deal, until another worker came along and offered twice as much for camera. Allen gladly accepted the offer, but with cash in hand, so to speak, God intervened once again. Allen went back to the coworker and returned the money, and said if the first coworker changed her mind about purchasing the camera, he could have it, at the price he had offered to everyone else.
I thought about this meeting a lot and have shared about it with friends and colleagues as well. To "walk the talk" says a lot about a person to me. As a leader in a major company, and president of a ministry, I am learning to be the best God has called Me to be, and walk the words I speak out. Thank you--Allen and others--who walk in the Light of the Word. -- Lonnie Lavender
