In late 2013, God began leading Generals International through a transition that has been both challenging and rewarding. It forced us to ask ourselves the difficult questions and closely examine every aspect of the ministry. The Lord has used it to give Mike and me a renewed passion and sense of purpose in our calling to teach and resource the body of Christ.
We are streamlining our communications platforms to make it easier for people to find out what Generals is doing and how they can participate with us. We are also developing content and resources to better equip individuals, families, prayer groups, etc. because we believe with all of our hearts that changed lives can change nations.
Many of you have seen the prophetic word circulated by Rick Joyner. It was undoubtedly a sobering and urgent word, and many people have asked us for our thoughts and response.
Whenever I watch the news of pain displayed on so many different levels such as we have been seeing in Ferguson, Missouri, I start to dig into history to find out what is fueling the situation. In addition, I begin to ask God how to pray in order for peace to be released into the situation, so His justice can prevail on all sides.

One of the key benefits of the prophetic is that it allows us to know a sense of divine timing and purpose (Amos 3:7). Like the religious leaders in Jesus’ day, it’s entirely possible to have a thorough knowledge of scripture, yet miss what God is doing in the earth at a given time (see Matt. 16:1-3).
There are no easy answers to these desert times, but know this: you aren’t alone. Whether you are well known or walking in anonymity, we all face “dark nights of the soul.” These times may be painful, and may even come close to pushing you toward hopelessness, but know that you can make it through.

The Lord promises to exchange trouble for a door of hope. The context of this is very strong. Hosea has married, at the request of God, into a seemingly hopeless situation. His marriage is in shambles as his wife is a prostitute who worships other foreign gods. Yet, in the midst of this, the Lord promises that He will make a way where there seems to be no way out of these overwhelming circumstances.
