Pray 100 - Day 6
January 22 – Ramping Up for the Revamping of the Nation
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.” (Psalm 33:12; NIV)
America’s election of Donald Trump was a shout from the people that they did not like the direction the country was going. It was also an answer to many years of intercession by a Church that was waking up and praying and voting. Tomorrow, a flurry of activity will begin in which President Trump has stated he will begin rolling back some of former-President Obama’s actions. He will begin to institute his own ideas—ideas such as nominating a conservative Supreme Court Justice, restoring religious freedom, and unraveling Obamacare. These things will take time, but Donald Trump will not hesitate to take action as quickly as he can.
Points for Prayer:
Pray Proverbs 3:5-6 over the new President. The Amplified Bible says it this way, “Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth (removing obstacles that block your way.)”
Pray that President Donald Trump will seek the Lord before doing anything. His acknowledgement and honoring of God will ensure the blessing of the Lord on this nation.
Pray that men and women of God would be praying for him in church services across America today, thanking God for a President that will acknowledge God and desire to serve Him.
Ask the Lord to help he and his team prioritize the changes they want to make, so that things move forward smoothly and not in chaos.
Pray that communication will not be confused, but that he will be well-understood by his staff.
